Welcome to GIDICS
From humble beginnings
to a beacon of hope
GIDICS traces its roots back to the foundation of NECTAR on September 11th, 2020, a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Inaugurated by the Bamenda City Mayor, GIDICS emerged as an extension of NECTAR’s commitment to serving the community.
Since its inception, GIDICS has been dedicated to providing a haven for disabled and vulnerable children, evolving in response to the growing needs of the community. What began with 8 staff members and 12 children has blossomed into a thriving organization with 15 dedicated staff members and 65 vibrant children.
This remarkable growth is a testament to our unwavering dedication to inclusivity, education, and the well-being of every child under our care. As we reflect on our history, we are grateful for the support that has propelled us forward, and we look ahead with optimism, knowing that together, we can continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

Navigating Crisis: GIDICS' Call for Support in Cameroon
In the wake of an eight-year political insurgence in Cameroon’s North West and South West regions (2016-2018), vulnerable children have borne the brunt, with increased disabilities due to limited medical attention. The crisis has led to displacement, trauma, disrupted education, limited healthcare access, and malnutrition among children. GIDICS, committed to making a difference, urges volunteers and donors to join in protecting, providing, and educating these children directly affected by the ongoing crisis. Together, we can bring hope and resilience to those in need.
Through resilience, compassion, and collective action, we strive to be the catalyst for positive change in the lives of vulnerable children affected by the ongoing political struggle. Join us in our mission, for every child deserves a chance at hope, education, and a brighter tomorrow."
