On Thursday, 13 November 2025, GIDICS hosted a deeply inspiring community event at one of its key centers, NECTAR Inclusive Nursery and Primary School, bringing together partners, parents, children, educators, and donors in a celebration of inclusion, empowerment, and shared purpose.

The day opened beautifully with the children welcoming guests through songs—an emotional reminder of why GIDICS continues to fight for inclusive education across Cameroon. The Founder, Madam Ambo Loveline, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, setting the tone for unity and commitment to the future of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities

We were honored by the presence of several esteemed organizations:

  • CBC Health Services – EDID Program

  • Global Community Rescue (GCR)

  • NYINSAM Goodwill Express Service (NGWES)

  • Women’s Work Department of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC)

CBC–EDID: Inspiring Courage and Awareness

Representing CBC was Pa Nyincho Samuel, a respected leader in inclusive education and a powerful advocate—despite being visually impaired himself.
He encouraged pupils to support one another, both abled and disabled, and urged parents to stop hiding children with disabilities at home. He reminded families that inclusion starts with awareness and applauded GIDICS for leading the movement. He also listened closely to the concerns of parents and staff, offering guidance and pathways to better support systems.

GCR: A Transformational Gift for NECTAR

Global Community Rescue brought immense joy through the official handover of a newly constructed modern school toilet—a donation that was overwhelmingly celebrated by parents and pupils.
Miss Tuma Sthelcy Fri, representing GCR, not only delivered the facility and sanitary supplies (buckets, soap, disinfectants) but also conducted a practical demonstration on proper use and maintenance, reinforcing dignity and hygiene for the children.

PCC Women’s Work Department: A Visit of Love and Support

The Women’s Work Department of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, represented on behalf of Sister Beltha, delivered a message of love, encouragement, and hope to the children. Their gifts—including detergents, foodstuffs, buckets, and toiletries—strengthened the wellbeing, cleanliness, and daily comfort of the school community.

NGWES: Empowering Parents for Better Child Development

NYINSAM Goodwill Express Service (NGWES) addressed the parents with a powerful talk on the critical role families play in shaping the growth and future of their children. They emphasized the home environment, nurturing, and shared responsibility in helping each child reach their full potential.

The event ended in an atmosphere of joy, unity, and celebration as parents, caregivers, partners, and children shared food, drinks, and laughter—marking the beginning of deeper partnerships and a renewed commitment to inclusive education.
GIDICS extends sincere gratitude to all partners who made this powerful day possible. Together, we are building a future where every child belongs.

“When you lift a child with a disability, you lift an entire family. When you empower that family, you change a whole community. Join us in giving these children the tools, love, and opportunities they have been denied for far too long.”
